Abstract
The article analyzes the problem of the lack of connection between the results of financial diagnostics of small business entities and management decisions. The author develops an early warning system based on the chain “financial data – indicator – integral assessment – risk signal – management decision – re-monitoring”, an integral risk index based on standardizing indicators by the median and interquartile range of the peer group, and an approach to differentiating risk thresholds by industry, size and life cycle stage. A two-layer signal mechanism that complements the relative index assessment with absolute critical rules and a matrix of anti-crisis decisions by risk level and source are proposed; their application is tested on data from hotel enterprises.
