STUDY OF TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC APPROACHES TO THE FORMATION OF THE STRUCTURE OF THE ENERGY COMPLEX

Abstract

The article substantiates the need to shift from the static formation of the energy balance structure to its periodic adjustment under conditions of transformation of the energy complex. It is shown that existing approaches do not sufficiently take into account changes in the cost of energy resources and technologies, system costs of integrating variable generation, firm capacity, peak load coverage, power system flexibility, and decarbonization requirements. Based on the analysis of regulatory, analytical, and scientific sources, methodological prerequisites are formulated for the further development of criteria, triggers, and constraints for revising the target structure of the energy balance.
