Abstract
The article presents the results of an analysis of the operation of heating systems with combined and separate generation of electric and thermal energy, and shows the effect and potential of reducing fuel consumption in the city's heat supply from a thermal power plant, as well as reducing emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere. The article proposes measures to reduce fuel consumption for energy supply to consumers. A comprehensive indicator for assessing the energy efficiency of a city's (region's) energy system is presented. Changes in the characteristics and structure of the energy system, including the addition of new capacities, should be determined in a comprehensive manner based on the criterion of minimum fuel costs. It is concluded that it is necessary to encourage consumers and energy producers to use energy-efficient technologies and to develop heating systems based on thermal power plants.
