Abstract
This article presents the results of a study on the population growth of the city of Karshi, the expansion of its territory, the construction of new residential areas, the acceleration of urbanization processes, a sharp increase in population migration in suburban areas, as well as the development of the industrial, social and service sectors, which has significantly increased the load on the city's transport infrastructure. It also highlights the role of public transport in the development of the city of Karshi and how its proper organization reduces the use of private cars and traffic jams, reduces air pollution, improves economic efficiency, and promotes social equality. This article describes methods for properly planning the public transportation system in Karshi, optimizing routes, and scientifically designing and organizing the route network. Based on the findings, recommendations are provided for optimizing public transportation routes and developing a modern public transportation system.
