Abstract
In conditions of automorphic soil formation, the amount and direction of moisture exchange are determined by the moisture content of the root zone. In this study, using mathematical modeling of moisture transfer in irrigated soils, calculated values of moisture exchange were obtained depending on the moisture content of the root zone. Based on the conducted studies, it can be concluded that the amount of moisture exchange can be regulated by setting a certain soil moisture regime. Theoretical developments based on mathematical modeling of the process under consideration make it possible to determine and justify the patterns of changes in the water regime during irrigation and the limits of regulation of the calculated depth. The new approach used in this work allows in mathematical models to reflect the main features of filtration processes previously identified by hydrogeologists in certain regions.
