Abstract
This article addresses one of the most pressing issues of today—the efficient use of water resources and the measurement of water discharge in water management systems through the application of modern technologies. The Kamashi inter-farm irrigation canal, which receives water from the Obihayot inter-farm canal, was selected as the research object. Field studies were conducted at PK-1+00 and PK-98+00 stations of the Kamashi irrigation canal using a GR-21m1 hydrometric current meter and the Rubicon Water device developed based on the technologies of the Australian company Rubicon Water. According to the measurement results, the average water discharge measured by the hydrometric current meter was Q = 1.386 m³/s, while the average water discharge measured using the Rubicon Water device was Q = 1.350 m³/s.
