Abstract

This article examines the main drivers of economic growth in industrial enterprises. It discusses the interdependence of capital investment, labour productivity, human capital, technological upgrading, innovation, management quality, market demand, and resource efficiency. Using the industrial sector of Surkhandarya region as a contextual example, the paper argues that growth should not be assessed solely by nominal production value; real output dynamics, value added, and resource productivity also need to be considered. The methodology combines systems analysis, comparison, economic-statistical review, and an econometric approach based on a production function. The Cobb–Douglas function is presented as a practical framework for estimating capital and labour elasticities and examining total factor productivity. The article concludes with practical recommendations for improving industrial enterprise performance.
