Abstract
The Surkhandarya region is an ideal location for the development of ecotourism; its lush natural landscapes, medicinal plants and springs, diverse wildlife, rivers and lakes, and mountain caves—which bear witness to a long history-attract numerous tourists. The healing springs of Khojamaykhona, Omonkhona, Gorim Bulok, and Khojaypok are renowned for their therapeutic properties in treating various ailments and are popular among both international and domestic tourists. The Gissar, Kohitang, and Baysun mountain ranges, with their picturesque scenery, offer excellent opportunities for the development of ecotourism.
