Abstract
The article examines the economic efficiency of rail passenger transportation through the interrelationship of tariff revenues, traffic volume, coach occupancy, service frequency and cost intensity. The dynamics of indicators for 2018–2026 are analyzed and the economic results of domestic and international services are compared. In 2026, the tariff coverage coefficient reached 1.358 for domestic services and 2.574 for international services, indicating the need for differentiated management by service type. A decline in average coach occupancy from 42.0 to 34.4 passengers highlights the importance of aligning train composition and service frequency with actual passenger demand.
