Abstract

This article examines the development trends and structural changes in the consumer lending segment of Uzbekistan’s financial market during the period 2023–2026. The study provides a statistical analysis of the dynamics of commercial banks’ retail loan portfolios, changes in the shares of microloans and auto loans, and the level of non-performing loans (NPLs). It also explores the impact of digital transformation and financial technology (FinTech) platforms on the consumer lending market, as well as issues related to regulating the population’s debt service-to-income ratio (DSTI). Based on the findings, the paper proposes scientific and practical recommendations aimed at ensuring the sustainable development of the consumer lending market, introducing securitization practices, and expanding the use of green finance instruments.
