Abstract

This article analyses the effectiveness of digital platform use by small business entities in the context of Uzbekistan. Digital platforms are examined as a means of lowering market entry barriers for small enterprises, establishing direct contact with customers, and optimising logistics costs. The findings indicate that the e-commerce market of Uzbekistan reached 1.2 billion US dollars in 2024 and is projected to reach 1.8–2.2 billion dollars by 2027. The leading domestic platform Uzum cooperated with more than 17,000 local sellers in 2025, while its product assortment exceeded 100 million stock-keeping units. The conclusions confirm the role of digital platforms in enhancing the competitiveness of small businesses; however, digital literacy, trust, and infrastructural constraints remain factors that reduce effectiveness.
