Abstract
The knowledge and innovation-based model of global economic development has fundamentally transformed the role and functions of higher education institutions in modern society. Traditionally, universities have been primarily responsible for training highly qualified specialists and conducting fundamental and applied scientific research. However, in the context of an innovation-driven economy, they have evolved into strategic institutions that generate new knowledge, create intellectual property, develop innovative products and technologies, and facilitate their transfer to the real sector of the economy, thereby making a significant contribution to the country's socio-economic development.
The main objective of this study is to analyze the theoretical and methodological foundations of innovation infrastructure in higher education institutions, assess its current state and development trends, and develop effective organizational and economic mechanisms aimed at enhancing the innovation capacity of universities. The study also focuses on identifying approaches to strengthening the interaction between higher education institutions, industry, and government, improving technology transfer processes, and increasing the commercialization of research outcomes within the framework of an innovation ecosystem.
