Abstract
This article analyzes the reasons for the establishment of free economic zones in Uzbekistan, their territorial distribution, stages of formation, and economic specialization. The study highlights the role of free economic zones in increasing gross domestic product and export potential, as well as their significance in the development of regional clusters.
