Abstract
This article examines the concept of the tourism sector, its content and essence, as well as its role and significance in the national economy. It also analyzes current trends in the development of tourism, its contribution to economic growth, and its role in ensuring socio-economic stability. The direct and indirect impact of tourism as a service sector on national economies is considered from a scientific perspective.
