Abstract
This article comprehensively analyzes the system of financing small business entities by commercial banks of Uzbekistan under the conditions of the modern market economy, as well as the systemic problems in this area and their root causes. Utilizing a combination of quantitative and qualitative methodologies alongside the information asymmetry theory, the study reveals that despite the increase in credit volume in recent years, structural and institutional barriers still persist. In particular, high collateral requirements, expensive interest rates, the lack of formal credit history, bureaucratic complexities, and the dominance of state-owned banks in the banking system are evaluated as the main factors limiting the financial inclusion of small entrepreneurship. The paper concludes with scientifically and practically grounded conclusions aimed at eliminating the identified issues and comprehensively developing the mechanisms of commercial banks to support small businesses.
