Abstract

This article examines the role of environmental tax systems in reducing negative environmental impacts and promoting the development of a green economy under conditions of modern economic growth. The study analyzes issues related to the rational use of natural resources, ensuring environmental safety, and stimulating the implementation of environmentally friendly technologies through environmental taxation. Based on statistical data, the dynamics of air pollution were studied, and a comparative analysis of global experience and the practice of Uzbekistan was conducted. The results indicate that improving the environmental tax system, introducing differentiated tax rates, and supporting environmentally friendly technologies contribute to accelerating green economy development and ensuring environmental sustainability.
